JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: Chef de Partie

Reports directly to: Executive Chef

Overall Job Purpose

As a chef de partie, you will oversee a section of the kitchen, such as pastry, sauces, or vegetables. Your role is to assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in achieving the highest standards of food production.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Flexibility

Candidate Profile

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in a comparable property with sizeable meeting and events spaces.

Preferred:

  • Strong background in hospitality and event management

Principal Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day running of any given section.
  • Ensure consistency of food quality and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness, stock control, organization, and standards of the section.
  • Assist with daily ordering while considering stock usage, menu planning, and business levels.
  • Constantly advise the Chef on needs and ordering requirements.
  • Assist other Chef de Parties and help maintain high team spirit.
  • Participate in any required training.
  • Take control of tasks and maintain a positive team environment.
  • Keep recipe folders organized and up to date as necessary.
