Categorie Protette - L.68/99 - Quality Assurance Back-Office Specialist

Reports to: Quality Assurance Sr Coordinator
Location: Jimmy Choo, Scandicci, Florence

Job Purpose
This position is a direct report to the Quality Assurance Sr Coordinator. The person in this role will help the Quality Assurance Sr Coordinator with the management of the Quality Assurance process for Shoes, Leather goods, and Jewellery. They will manage all back-office activities tied to the quality department and liaise with external manufacturers, suppliers, and all technical departments in JC Florence when instructed by the Quality Assurance Sr Coordinator.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Check and manage the correct functioning of engineering and development procedures (conformity and TDS, hardware validation management).
  2. Formalize quality procedures (manuals for factories and suppliers) with the supervision of the Quality Assurance Sr Coordinator.
  3. Manage and create quality information documents such as tolerance sheets, disclaimers, and any special documentation required to support the product.
  4. Attend technical meetings to analyze the collection and gather all potential quality risks.
  5. Support the analysis of collections and decide with the Quality Assurance Sr Coordinator on the TDS list.
  6. Support the Quality Assurance Sr Coordinator with the wear test management process.
  7. Assist the Quality Assurance Sr Coordinator in managing the main quality issues raised during the production process.
  8. Develop quality specs and checklists.
  9. Develop technical skills in quality control of Shoes/LG/SLG/Jewellery and check finished product/hardware raw materials/etc. when needed.

Competencies and Experience Required:

  • Demonstrable technical knowledge in a similar role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of English, both written and verbal.
  • Medium knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Luxury brand experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong accuracy.
  • Good attitude to learn and use systems (QC system).
