Your role and responsibilities

ABB ELSP Procurement is a key function that delivers value to ABB by leveraging market knowledge, subject matter expertise and business insights in the procurement of goods and services and the management of ABB ELSP’s third party spend. Through collaboration with our external suppliers and internal stakeholders, the Indirect Purchasing Team of the Electrification Procurement organization helps write the future of safe, smart, and sustainable electrification. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite. This role contributes to the Smart Power Division in Frosinone. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Collaborating with the Indirect Purchasing Manager to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies through tactical and operational processes.
2. Understanding strategies and executing processes accordingly.
3. Driving improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and working capital, including payment terms and lead times, in line with procurement guidelines and manufacturing objectives.
4. Managing stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment and continuous operational improvement.
5. Implementing, operating, maintaining, and enhancing supply chain systems and data analytics tools to improve performance.
6. Communicating effectively with suppliers and managing supplier qualification, assessment, and onboarding.
7. Managing material categories by developing sourcing strategies, selecting and managing suppliers, negotiating trade conditions, and handling competitive bidding for the Indirect spend.
8. Ensuring compliance with ABB’s core values, safety, and integrity standards, and adhering to all internal and statutory regulations and policies.
9. Being accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors, and continuously improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance.
10. Providing guidance to Indirect stakeholders and seeking knowledge for personal development, coaching and mentoring teams, and working in high-performing teams. Cooperating and communicating with local and foreign suppliers and other employees across the organization.

Qualifications for the role

• You have at least 2-3 years of experience in Indirect Procurement, demonstrating experience in cost optimization and risk mitigation.
• You hold a Master’s Degree in Engineering or related fields.
• You are immersed in sourcing strategies and the manufacturing market.
• You possess enhanced knowledge of supply chain systems and are highly adept in data analytics tools.
• You are passionate about stakeholder management and innovative around cross-functional collaboration.
• You are at ease communicating in English (B2) and Italian.
• You have experience in the following tools: SAP Ariba, PowerBI, Microsoft Excel, and PPT.
• You have a willingness to travel for short to medium-term assignments.
