Business Development – OEM Accounts, Medical Device Market 
Location: near Encinitas, CA
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000+  + Year-End Sales Bonus (Y1 = 5%-15%)  + Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time | On-site (no remote)
Typical Hours: Monday-Friday
Travel: 25% primarily domestic, with some international travel

Business Development – OEM Accounts, Medical Device Market Description

Our client, in imaging solutions manufacturing, is looking for a Business Development Specialist to join their team near Encinitas, CA. You will focus on growing the medical device market by identifying and closing business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across all tiers of OEM customers and manufacturers. This role involves close collaboration with sales management and optical experts, developing and executing business plans, and penetrating new markets to achieve company targets. Qualified candidates will have at least three (3) years of experience working directly with OEMs or manufacturers, with a technical (mechanical, scientific, or engineering) background, with the ability to understand customer needs and discuss complex solutions. This is a great opportunity to utilize your technical expertise and ability to foster customer relationships to help penetrate the medical device market, an area of tremendous growth opportunity and visibility within our client’s organization, where they are prepared to support a determined individual, excited to develop this new market, and grow within an established company with brand recognition and a reputation for quality.

Business Development – OEM Accounts, Medical Device Market Responsibilities

•    Collaborate with sales and optical engineers to identify business opportunities
•    Develop and execute strategic business plans for revenue growth
•    Manage and generate new business with all tiers of OEM customers and manufacturers
•    Penetrate new markets to achieve company targets
•    Provide market feedback to leadership for product development
•    Participate in trade shows to network and generate sales leads
•    Act as the interface between customers and manufacturing overseas operations

Business Development – OEM Accounts, Medical Device Market Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree required
•    3+ years of experience working directly with OEMs or manufacturers experience required
•    Technical (mechanical, scientific, or engineering) background required
•    Ability/willingness to travel 25% (domestic and internationally) required
•    Possess a valid passport or the ability to obtain one upon hire
