1-2 years of experience in Automation with Electrical engineering roles. In particular, it is mandatory to have proficiency in interfacing with PLC/MES and configuring connections with digital platforms.

Position Summary

In this role, you will support the development on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Process automation in Supply Chain and Customer Service (RPA), Electricity and Automation (E&A) professional and technical in the Factory for operational activities and during participation in CAPEX projects, of the Digital Roadmaps in the Operations; doing so in line with corporate guidelines, enforcing that all MES-E&A activities enhance business objectives, product quality and plant operation/performance while ensuring that people health and safety, product safety, and environment are never compromised.

A Day in the Life of an Automation Engineer at Nestlé

  • Project Management for E&A solutions: Participate in Capital Investments projects in the market, ensuring that the technical solution follows corporate and market standards and is delivered with the expected quality, being on time and within budget. Responsibilities include: collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to reduce and control delivery lead times; inputting manufacturing knowledge and promoting best practices; analyzing and implementing improvement actions regarding workflows.
  • Full Compliance: Ensure Process & Equipment safety for people, products, and environment and that one exhibits an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations. Ensure that the Change Management is in place to appropriately manage modifications in the Digital-E&A solutions. Ensure the application of the market and local Digital-E&A related legislation (i.e. electrical, calibration, etc).
  • Product and Process Mastership: E&A engineers play a key role in the continuous improvement of operations through mastering the process and product characteristics. E&A engineers must have a deep insight into the processes and continuously strive for the improvement of efficiency, quality, and safety while protecting the technological know-how and competitive advantage.
  • Operational Support: Participate in the implementation of engineering tools at market level. Ensure that all E&A installations comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety, and product quality standards. Ensure that the key documentation is up to date and in place (i.e. SLD, URS, FDS, Calibration procedures, etc.). Participate in the M&I activities in the factory.
  • Digital Solutions Implementation: Implement and test new digital solutions for process automation, standardization, and integration with digital platform architecture. E&A Engineers must stay up to date on the latest digital technologies.

What Will Make You Successful

  • About 1-2 years of experience in Automation with Electrical roles. In particular, proficiency in interfacing with PLC/MES and configuring connections with digital platforms.
  • Participation in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team (preferably including different products and technologies in Electrical and Automation areas).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different organizational levels.
  • Must be fluent in English and Italian.
