Offer Description

The post is for a six-year period. The annual gross salary is about 50,000 Euros.

Required research duties: Research activities will concern the field of Greek history with a special focus on the Archaic and Classical evidence. Special attention will be paid to the dynamics of tradition and memory emerging at the intersection of oral communication, historiography, and ancient monuments. The research should also be based on the use of analytical categories, theoretical perspectives, and methodological approaches drawn from the social sciences.

Required teaching duties: Teaching activities will be carried out in the framework of the subject area STAN-01/A (Greek History). They are to be offered in the degree programs of the Department of Humanities and Philosophy and as part of the PhD program.

Foreign language required: excellent level of English.

Knowledge of Italian: level adequate to carry out the assigned teaching load (the researcher is required to teach in Italian).

Maximum number of publications to be presented: 12.
