Agronomic Consultant

RINA is currently recruiting for a Agronomic Consultant to join its office in Genova or Milano, Italy within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.

Mission

The Energy and Resource Efficiency Discipline of RINA is seeking a highly motivated resource with experience in the agribusiness sector to support the team in the management and technical development of projects with focus on agro-energy and sustainable agriculture. Working in our headquarters in Genoa or Milan Office, the successful candidate shall have strong interest in bioenergy, energy transition, decarbonization, circular and green economy topics, good communications skills and a strong teamwork attitude.

Key Accountabilities

1. Participate in the Team activities in the framework of agro-energy projects for the sustainable production of biofuels, supporting the management of the entire agro-supply chain and contributing to the evaluation of new agri-feedstocks, with particular interest in production of vegetable oils, and in the categorization within the European biofuels’ regulation framework.
2. Participate in the Team activities in the framework of sustainable food/agriculture projects, contributing to all four pillars of food security (availability, access, utilization and stability) and the dimensions of sustainability (environmental, social and economic).
3. Interact actively with international colleagues, partners, and customers to support the project technical activities related to agro-topics.
4. Contribute to deliver high-quality technical reports and results.
5. Support the team in general management of the projects meeting client’s requests.
6. Promote new business opportunities and participate to proposal writing.

Experience And Requirements

1. The knowledge of ISCC Certification or other similar standards is a plus.
2. The knowledge of Food Security is a plus.
3. Previous experience of 1-5 years in agribusiness.
4. Previous Experience In a Consultancy Company Is a Plus.
5. English and Italian advanced level; other languages knowledge will be a plus (especially French).
6. Ability to write well structured, concise and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents.
7. Ability to manage multiple assignments, proactive to meet short deadlines.
8. Availability for business trips within and outside the EU.
9. Interest and curiosity in energy and resource efficiency sector.
10. Advanced knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Education

Master’s Degree in Agriculture/Agronomy/Food Technology or Biotechnology.
