We are actively seeking 2 Accountants to join our local finance and accounting team at our Civitanova site.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Several years of experience in Accounting (AP or GL)
  • Advanced Excel and ERP skills
  • Proficiency in Italian and English
  • Analytical and good communication skills

Responsibilities

  1. Complete GL transaction functions including month-end and year-end activities (mostly under ITA GAAP)
    • Managing fixed asset accounting
    • Accounting for transactions on settlement accounts
    • Accruals and prepayments accounting
    • Accounts receivable/payable reconciliation
    • Booking incoming invoices by matching invoices against corresponding purchase orders (or non-PO invoices) to ensure accuracy following established approval workflows and controls
    • Preparation of payment orders
    • Bank account reconciliation
    • Payroll and T&A accounting and related reports
    • Perform month-end closes within 3 working days, which involves creating and uploading journal entries and carrying out various checks, controls, and adjustments
    • Claim accounting (including document preparation)
  2. Balance Sheet Reconciliations
    • Preparation of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
    • Review of balance sheet reconciliations
    • Maintenance and continuous improvement of balance sheet accounts
  3. Audit and tax support
    • Handling tax and audit queries (internal and external), such as preparation and reconciliation of VAT & Intrastat reports, preparation and reconciliation of withholding tax monthly payments, annual certificates, returns, and submission
    • Preparation of audit and tax documents for the statutory tax department
  4. Support with lease accounting, reporting, and compliance
    • Lease accounting compliance (local suppliers, visual lease, car management)
  5. Support with HR
    • Onboarding
    • Handling queries from senior HR managers
  6. Support to local business finance partners
    • Handling queries from senior finance managers or regional controllers
    • Local accounting go-to person
  7. Ad-hoc requests from Corporate
    • Support on various projects in the region
