As an ATS for customers in the Manufacturing industry, you will synthesize business insights and orchestrate global teams across the organization to deliver alternative solutions while applying deep expertise and thought leadership. You will act as a "virtual Chief Technical Officer" to provide Account Thought leadership, leverage deep knowledge of Microsoft's solutions, industry, and customer needs, and act as the voice of the customer, industry, and team. You will lead technology strategy formulation by aligning customer needs with technology solutions, executing technology strategy/digital transformation, creating mid- to long-term technical roadmaps, and translating customer business objectives.

Responsibilities

Customer and Industry Insights

Apply expertise and thought leadership to identify and inform the development of the right Industry Sales Kits and industry partners within the customer's vertical industry. Articulate and understand specific industry-related market trends, as well as customer threats, opportunities, and barriers to growth. Leverage industry trends from other industries to gather insights and develop an informed perspective on similar issues. Support customers in solving issues by synthesizing various business and industry insights.

Differentiated Value Proposition

Partner with a line-of-business leader or senior executive within a large-scale customer organization to articulate how complex Microsoft technology/services will meet future business needs better than the competition. Act as the customer's Technology Mentor in established relationships with senior leaders, including technical decision makers and Business Unit leaders. Drive market share and lead customer business transformations through digital technologies for assigned accounts.

Education and Thought Leadership

Lead customer technology engagement by influencing technical resources of customers, partners, and Microsoft towards business transformation. Deliver regular industry/technology briefings to customer technology senior decision-makers.

Mapping and Account Planning

Establish best practices and standards around account planning for budgeting, quota attainment, and customer consumption gaps. Coordinate highly complex extended account teams and drive forecasting and tracking of the business. Own the technical portion of the account plan and lead the customer plan delivery for large, critical accounts.

Technology Sales: Demand Generation and Orchestration

Lead Account Strategy Envisioning with the extended account team, customer, and partner to deliver outcomes through joint envisioning. Create new opportunities with technical decision maker customer stakeholders and manage consumption pipeline. Define the blueprint for opportunity initiation and set standards and best practices for others to follow.

Lead the customer journey into the era of AI and Industrial Metaverse by creating a targeted approach tailored to their current business requirements. Build a mid-term strategy for AI and metaverse projects and orchestrate execution through appropriate technical teams.

Creates mid- and long-term technology and business roadmaps for highly prominent accounts based on a deep understanding of business and technology priorities. Drive the adoption of technologies by plotting the long-term vision of the customer's business strategy.

Leverage a broad knowledge of Microsoft's product landscape to address customer needs and coordinate with internal and external networks of industry experts.

Provide Account thought leadership inclusive of IT, business strategy knowledge, and technology landscape. Create connections and feedback loops with Product and Engineering teams.

Act as the voice of the customer, providing insights and feedback to internal teams.
