As the Regional Sales Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact and drive incremental growth for the Chemical Analysis Division’s Environmental & Process Monitoring business in the South- and East Europe. The Chemical Analysis Division features innovative analytics, from lab to line to field. Our business serves a wide breadth of industrial markets including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental, process minerals, mining, coal, cement, and metals, as well as academic, government, safety, and security.
The Regional Sales Manager can be based out of:
Italy (preferred), Spain, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic or Poland
Collaborate with direct and indirect customers to create and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities
Develop and maintain Go-To-Market plans for the region in close collaboration with the local Channel Manager
Understand the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develop sales strategies to respond effectively
Be creative in finding ways to close deals based on a 'must-win' mentality
Bachelor's Degree, advanced degrees preferred
5+ years of sales experience with a documented track record of success
2+ years of experience as an indirect people and/or distribution manager
Must have sold capital pieces of equipment
Ability to travel 50%+ across the assigned territory
Strong technical knowledge of the chemical and/or environmental industry and experience selling in those markets
Self-starter and able to work on your own
Ability to prospect new business and have that "hunter" attitude
Strong communication skills – orally and written in English
Strong organizational and time management skills
