2nd Engineer

Burgess recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a Temporary 2^nd Engineer for a 60m motor yacht.

We are URGENTLY seeking an experienced 2nd Engineer for a temporary position, mainly for a move.

The initial contract is for 7 days with the possibility of extension on a month-to-month basis, depending on mutual satisfaction and the status of the vessel.

The boat is currently for sale and is on standby, with clients visiting. The contract could extend until the boat is sold.

Key Responsibilities

1. Overseeing and maintaining the vessel's mechanical and electrical systems.
2. Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all engineering systems on board.
3. Assisting the Chief Engineer with daily tasks and any technical issues that arise.
4. Conducting regular checks and maintenance as required.
5. Preparing the boat for client visits and ensuring all systems are in optimal condition.
6. Assist with the move of the vessel.

Requirements

1. Valid EOOW or Y3 certification.
2. Previous experience in a similar role aboard yachts or similar vessels.
3. Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Flexibility to adapt to a potentially changing work environment due to the vessel's sale status.

Start date: IMMEDIATE (before 15 Friday Nov)

Location: Imperia, Italy

Salary: DOE

Single cabin with shared bathroom with Chief Engineer.
