Position Summary

We are looking for trainees with an interest in M&A, bank finance and capital markets transactions to join our Milan office. You shall have strong academic credentials and a genuine interest in financing transactions and cross-border M&A. You shall also be ambitious and passionate about work, ready for the challenges of working in a global law firm, service-minded with strong interpersonal skills and able to work in a team.

Trainees will work with all the Milan partners and with teams based in other offices. Our Milan office offers the unique opportunity to gain diverse experience in multi-jurisdictional transactions through an 18-month rotation program during which you will work in the main legal areas of our office: Capital Markets, Banking and Corporate.

Duties and Accountabilities

You will help structuring, drafting and negotiating a variety of corporate transactions (share/asset purchase agreement, shareholders' agreements, subscription agreements, joint ventures); you will advise founders, companies and board of directors on a wide range of corporate matters.

Your main duties will be:

  • Drafting and reviewing legal and technical documentation
  • Conducting legal and technical research
  • Working directly with clients
  • Involvement in due diligence – analysis of agreements and their subsequent description
  • Drafting legal memoranda on broad range of topics arising under commercial law and corporate law precedents
  • Analyzing commercial and legal information
  • Managing graduates as a part of the team

Qualifications

  • Law degree from an Italian University;
  • Strong academic background;
  • Fluency in both Italian and English;
  • LL.M. studies or work experience abroad preferred;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Very good computer skills;
