Sub Function Head - Red Area

Job Responsibilities

• Operational Efficiency and Cost Control: Ensure smooth operations to meet production targets by optimizing resource use, controlling costs, and adhering to quality and environmental standards.
• Process Monitoring and Control: Review and manage key processes (BGP, EVAP, PDS, DIG, Mud Wash, filtration) to achieve volume, quality, energy efficiency, and reduce production losses.
• Debottlenecking for Productivity: Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks to enhance productivity, quality, and energy efficiency.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Implement SOPs, JSA, and HAZOP procedures to meet statutory requirements and ensure a safe working environment in critical plant areas.
• Contract Management: Ensure timely execution of contract jobs within contractual specifications, supporting operations and budget adherence.
• Cost Management: Monitor operational expenses and explore cost-saving measures while maintaining product quality standards.
• Sustainability Efforts: Optimize red mud pond volumes and manage moisture levels in dry red mud to extend pond life and support high-volume mud production.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs, conduct skill development programs, career conversations, and MDPs for team members to enhance competencies.
• Resource Utilization: Ensure optimal use of resources for sustainable plant operations and consistent quality throughput.

Requirements

12-15 years in alumina refinery operations or similar process industries with a focus on operational efficiency, cost management, and environmental compliance. Prior experience managing complex process units and implementing safety and environmental protocols.
