JOB DESCRIPTION OF STORE ASSISTANT

Responsibilities:

1. Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received.
2. Liaising with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies in stock.
3. Keeping detailed records of shortages and spares of items.
4. Updating inventory management systems regularly.
5. Picking and delivering goods by using a forklift.
6. Organising and delivering goods from the store to respective departments.
7. Keeping the store fully stocked.
8. Maintaining the highest level of visual merchandising and store conditions.
9. Delivering exceptional sales services for improved customer satisfaction.
10. Interacting with customers and identifying their needs and preferences.
11. Operating cash registers and point-of-sale machines.
12. Receiving and verifying the quality and quantity of new shipments.
13. Enforcing in-store security and health and safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Basic IT skills and a working knowledge of inventory management systems and computer processing software.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work methodically and quickly.
• Excellent time management skills and exceptional work ethic.
• Ability to stand on their feet for long hours.
• Ability to lift heavy items.
• Teamwork skills and ability to work independently.

Salary: Rs.10,000/- to Rs.15,000/- per month.

Job Experience: 3 to 5 Years.

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Schedule:

• Day shift.

• Kolkata, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).

Experience:

• Store management: 3 years (Preferred).
• Total work: 5 years (Preferred).
