Senior Software Development Engineer, Selling Partner Promotions

Job Description

Want to build systems that enable Selling Partners to grow their business and delight Amazon customers? The Selling Partner Promotions (SPP) team is looking for a Sr. SDE to lead initiatives to build new tools to help our Selling Partners better manage their promotions.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead highly ambiguous projects by working with Product Managers, business teams, and tech leadership to build systems that unify seller and vendor promotions on a new architecture.
2. Serve as the tech lead for these projects, guiding a team of several engineers to deliver them.
3. Own the long-term architecture of your team and be responsible for the quality of design and implementation.
4. Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Senior Managers in the Promotions org, and partner teams to define the tech vision and help execute it.
5. Advise SDMs and PMs on tech tradeoffs while balancing Operational Excellence with new feature development.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2. 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
3. 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
4. Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
