Product Development Manager

Job Title / Designation: Manager - Product Development - Home, Kitchen, Diffusers, Perfumes.

Location: Hyderabad.

Job Description: We are seeking a highly innovative Product Development Manager to drive the development and execution of new products in the home, kitchen, diffusers, and perfumes categories.

The ideal candidate will have a strong market understanding, experience in R&D, product design, vendor partnerships, and supply chain coordination, and a keen eye for trends and consumer preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market & Consumer Research: Analyse market trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for new product development.
2. Product Innovation & Design: Lead the design and development of innovative, high-quality products tailored to market demands.
3. Vendor & Supplier Management: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with vendors and third-party manufacturers.
4. End-to-End Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to production ensuring alignment with business goals.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Certifications: Ensure all products meet regulatory standards such as BIS, Legal Metrology, Drugs & Cosmetics Act, and other relevant certifications.
6. Category Expansion Strategy: Develop a roadmap for expanding product categories, introducing new lines, and enhancing existing offerings.
7. Packaging & Presentation: Ensure products are well-packaged and market-ready for different sales channels, including modern trade, e-commerce, HORECA, gifting, and exports.
8. Quality Control & Testing: Implement quality assurance measures to ensure product durability, functionality, and consumer satisfaction.
9. Product Lifecycle Management: Track product performance post-launch and recommend improvements based on sales data and customer feedback.

Experience:

1. Bachelor/Master's Degree in Product Design, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
2. 10 yrs experience in product development, preferably in home, kitchen, fragrances, or FMCG categories.
3. Strong knowledge of R&D, manufacturing processes, supply chain, and retail distribution.
