Urgent opening for Production Head / Manager in Bhiwandi Location.

Designation: Production Head / Manager

Experience: 5- 15 yrs (into Furniture Manufacturing)

Location: Bhiwandi

Salary: 60K to 80K

Production Responsibilities:

1. Prepare production plan in coordination with Sales and design team.
2. Coordinate with Purchase team on raw material, guiding Purchase department for scheduling as per the production plan.
3. Prepare process flow, work instructions, and continuously update the Sales, Design, and Management on the progress of the project.
4. Manage project deliverables in line with the project plan and review drawings and specifications for any queries and clarifications essential for production.
5. Ensure production targets are met within the constraints of the budget and optimum production is achieved.
6. Ensure that the installations manufactured are of consistent quality.
7. Highlight technical issues and recommend probable solutions to Sales, Design, and Management.
8. Analyze root causes for rejections and rework, customer feedback, and ensure systems are in place to prevent recurrence.
9. Measure cycle time and reduce it to improve production.
10. Devise maintenance plan for the shop floor.
11. Analyze requirements for new machinery to increase productivity/new product lines and present the case to Management for approval and purchase.

Team Management Responsibilities:

• Train the production team adequately on quality systems, understanding design drawings, work instructions, and quality checkpoints.
• Maintain shop floor discipline and housekeeping.
• Motivate shop floor team and instill teamwork.
• Train the team on quality and ensure that production downtime is reduced and process capability is improved. Develop the production team to be multi-skilled.
• Periodically generate performance reports of the team and provide necessary feedback, mentoring, and assistance to upscale overall team performance.
