Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Physical Education Director to join our team at EASA College of Engineering & Technology in Coimbatore. This is a full-time, senior-level position that requires a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the field of physical education and sports management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in physical education, athletic training, and fitness programming.
Qualifications And Skills
- A Masters degree in Physical Education (two year course) or Masters degree in Sports or an equivalent degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent CGPA and a consistently good academic record.
- Record of having represented the university/college at the inter-university/inter collegiate competitions or the state in national championships.
- Passed the physical fitness test.
- Qualifying in the national test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of work experience in physical education, sports management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in physical education practices and methodologies (Mandatory skill).
- Expertise in athletic training and development programs (Mandatory skill).
- Strong background in fitness programming and implementation (Mandatory skill).
- Experience in sports management and administration.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary planning for athletes.
- Skills in injury prevention and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate the team.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education programs for students.
- Create and oversee fitness and conditioning programs tailored to student needs.
- Organize, coordinate, and supervise various athletic activities and events.
- Maintain and manage sports facilities and equipment.
- Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants in physical activities.
- Provide training and development opportunities for physical education staff.
- Develop strategies for injury prevention and manage injury recovery programs.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate physical education within the broader educational framework.
