Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Network Engineer with proven experience in deploying and managing robust network infrastructure, along with hands-on expertise in installation, testing, and commissioning of flap barrier systems and access control solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing secure and scalable network environments that seamlessly integrate with modern physical security systems across commercial and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Infrastructure Deployment
• Design, configure, and deploy LAN/WAN infrastructures including switches, routers, wireless access points, and structured cabling systems.
• Conduct site surveys and network topology planning tailored to project requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation of network layouts, configurations, and asset inventories.
• Security System Integration
• Lead the installation and commissioning of flap barriers, turnstiles, and access control systems (e.g., biometric readers, RFID-based controllers).
• Coordinate with OEMs, civil/electrical contractors, and system integrators during implementation.
• Test functionality, troubleshoot installation issues, and fine-tune system settings for seamless integration with client IT networks.
• Perform end-to-end system testing to verify data flow, user authentication, event logging, and alarm response.
• Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with clients and generate commissioning reports.
• Provide technical support during project handover and train end-users on basic system operations.
• Network Security & Compliance
• Implement best practices for secure networking, VLAN segmentation, and access controls for critical systems.
• Ensure all deployed systems adhere to data protection and cyber security standards.
• Project Coordination & Documentation
• Liaise with project managers, vendors, and client-side IT/security teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including network diagrams, installation checklists, and compliance records.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/IT/Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure deployment and physical access control systems.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, VLANs, and PoE devices.
• Familiarity with access control software (e.g., Honeywell, HID, Matrix, or similar platforms).
• Experience with configuration and integration of flap barrier gates, turnstiles, and biometric/RFID terminals.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Industry certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are desirable.
