KPMG Global Services (KGS) India is a strategic global delivery organization that works with more than 50 KPMG firms to provide a progressive, scalable, and customized approach to business requirements.

The KGS India journey has been one of consistent growth, with a current employee count of c.21,000, operating from eight locations in India — Bengaluru, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kochi, Noida, Pune, and Kolkata — providing a range of Advisory and Tax-related services to KPMG firms around the world.

Location: Bangalore

The IT Asset Life Cycle management role controls and protects the organization’s IT assets (i.e., hardware) throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, it designs, develops, and implements the organization’s asset management strategy while ensuring compliance. As an Asset Life Cycle Consultant, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining End of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS) device policies, processes, and supporting tools for hardware asset management.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the lifecycle of IT assets from their introduction to retirement.
  • Ensure process efficiency by implementing key performance indicators and suggesting process improvements continuously.
  • Design, execute, and enhance processes related to IT asset management.
  • Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management.
  • Participate in other ITSM processes or perform as a backup to maintain operational activities as required.
  • Govern the ITAM tools applied in managing, monitoring, and reporting on IT assets and inventory.
  • Research industry best practices and incorporate them into organizational practices.
  • Manage audit activities to effectively respond to queries from respective auditors.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the lifecycle of all company IT assets by developing and implementing appropriate procedures to track and manage them.
  • Manage the inventory of assets, including dependencies and attributes, ensuring modifications, withdrawals, and additions are correctly recorded by the teams in charge in the tools to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure data accuracy and accurate metrics calculations for Software License Compliance, End of Support (EOS), and End of Life (EOL) assets by tracking remediation activities with various KPMG on-prem and Cloud teams and external vendors.
  • Collate, generate, and aggregate reports or CE+ from manual inventories, Qualys VMDR, Qualys CSAM, etc.
  • Research EOL issues/dates online to validate data from automated toolsets.
  • Administer the Qualys CSAM module, escalating to Qualys Support where necessary.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly project review meetings and governance meetings.
  • Apply a continuous improvement approach in enhancing strategies employed in technology spending and tracking company assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ensure effective management of the asset database and that its content is accurate.
  • Provide information and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis along with unscheduled reporting demanded by management.
  • Assess and quantify risk, define and implement risk mitigation procedures, and generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports and trend analyses.

Preferred Skills:

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience in SAM.
  • Exposure and experience with the Qualys tool.
  • Hands-on experience with Flexera.
  • IAITAM Certification, such as CHAMP, CSAM, and CITAM.
  • Strong experience in ServiceNow and Asset Life Cycle Management (Forecasting, Procurement, Deployment, Utilization, Maintenance & Disposal).
  • 5+ years of IT or professional experience with a minimum of 3+ years in Asset Life Cycle Management.
  • Strong planning and coordinating abilities, work ethics, and compliance undertaking. Well-structured, organized, committed, and responsible.
  • Experience with a ticketing tool (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, HP Service Management ticketing tool, etc.).
  • Expertise in MS Office (Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English written and spoken.
  • Business understanding and ability to create results across business functions. Quality mindset and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with customers and department assistants across vendors.
