We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

1. Support the product owner in the management of their work stream Backlog and the prioritization of stories and subtasks.
2. Groom the stories in the backlog to ensure that they are prepared to meet the ‘definition of ready’.
3. Contribute to the project RAAID by raising items when necessary.
4. Update the Engagement Lead and Project Management with progress vs delivery milestones.
5. Manage multiple environments.
6. Communicate with the relevant project teams regarding resolving technical/application issues related to delivery of projects.
7. Work with Engineering and operations to ensure our environment is monitored appropriately.
8. Ensure SLA commitments are met and escalate accordingly.
9. Provide Deployment activities to create & maintain development, test, UAT and production environments in project deployment phase.
10. Establish, document, and implement the best practices in the end-to-end application initiation and deployment processes.
11. Work for continuous improvement to achieve customer satisfaction.
12. Have flexibility as per project needs.
13. Attend project meetings.

Requirements

Must have:

1. 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
2. Experience working in agile and DevOps environments using team collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA.
3. Strong in Unix and SQL Administration.
4. Strong in Shell Scripting/Python/Perl scripting (any one).
5. Prior experience working on DevOps tools like GIT, Jenkins, Ansible/Puppet.
6. Cloud implementation experience, either GCP (preferred) or equivalent cloud provider.
7. Understanding of Big Data concepts, DevOps principles & Container technology.
8. Excellent multitasking ability – Must have ability to track multiple issues, effectively manage time and competing priorities, and drive results through partner organizations.
9. Experience in planning and prioritizing their own time effectively, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently.
10. Excellent team member and work as a cross-functional team member liaising with other Specialists.
11. Create short-term plans to deliver environments to support sprint-based development.
12. Coordinate activities of technical specialists to automate the setup and configuration of environments.
13. Monitor and guarantee uptime of test environments.
14. Provide ongoing support for environments.
15. Communicate test environment availability to project management and quality assurance.
16. Develop KPIs to track efficacy of test environment delivery efforts.
17. Move environment activities toward a goal of maximum automation.
18. Provide estimates for onboarding of new projects to test environments.
19. Design systems to support continuous delivery and adapt test environment management to support on-demand, self-service automation.
20. Forecast environment requirements based on anticipated future demand from multiple application development teams.
21. Accountability for delivery – takes ownership of tasks assigned to ultimate resolution with minimal supervision.
22. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (comfortable in written and verbal communications) to facilitate with users from around the world and from different cultural backgrounds.

1. Disciplined Agile and SAFE framework experience.
2. Experience in working with resources in geographically dispersed teams, appreciating and respecting local cultures.
3. Front Office IT experience.
4. An appreciation and experience of working on projects driven by Regulatory Mandate, and the ability to articulate the challenges such projects often encounter, and the ways in which they’ve been able to achieve success in such areas.
