Head - Costing

JSW GBS Limited is the captive shared services unit of JSW Group. Activities pertaining to Finance & Accounts (P2P, O2C, RTR, Fixed Assets, Trade Finance, Taxation & Commercial) are managed by GBS for the entire JSW Group comprising Steel, Paints, Energy, Cement, Infra, Mining, etc.

Looking for a CA Qualified Dynamic Leader who wants to be part of JSW Group:

Responsibilities

1. Plan, organize and direct all the activities of the cost accounting function.
2. Analyse cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
3. Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and profitability reports.
4. Effectively manage month-end closing processes to ensure precise and timely financial reporting.
5. Product Costing through SAP CO-Module, Release of Standard Prices and Target Costing.
6. Develop new, robust processes to drive productivity in the cost accounting function.
7. Perform the monthly closing activities including preparation of the cost to operate statement along with supporting analysis.
8. Assist with the coordination and deliverables for quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by internal and external auditors.
9. Prepare adhoc reporting and analyses and assist the team with research on cost accounting questions and special projects as requested.
10. Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management.
11. Streamline cost accounting procedures and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
12. Cost Audit - Prepare efficient and effective internal control systems and procedures, including an effective MIS system to monitor daily performance achievement.
13. Analyze production costs/process and recommend cost-cutting measures.
14. Provide actionable financial insights to leadership teams to support decision-making.
15. Collaborate with operations, procurement, and other departments to align cost strategies.
16. Develop strong relationships with various stakeholders and lead a team of professionals, encouraging an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.

Experience & Qualifications:

1. 20 years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and general accounting for a manufacturer.
2. Experience in SAP enabled environment.
3. Experience in Shared Services/BPO would be an added advantage.
4. Knowledge of manufacturing industries (steel, cement, energy, or ports).
5. CA / ICWA Competencies: Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting.
