Design Engineer

Hydro Prokav Pumps, part of Ingersoll Rand, engaged in manufacturing of UT Pumps brand Positive Displacement Pumps including Screw Pumps and High-Pressure Triplex Plunger pumps and Systems used for a wide range of applications in all types of Industries including Power, Oil & Gas, Fertilisers, Cement and many more. Equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and testing facilities, our integrated plant ensures precision manufacturing and rigorous quality control for every pump produced.

Job Summary

The responsibilities of the position include designing, developing, and implementing engineering solutions to support our diverse range of products and services. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and a strong commitment to quality and innovation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

1. Designs and coordinates standard manufacturing processes.
2. Plans or improves production methods including flow, tooling, assembly methods and production equipment.
3. Estimates production times and optimum staffing for production schedules.
4. Determines the development or purchase of capital equipment.
5. Interacts with design, manufacturing and suppliers.
6. Creates production processes and documents through routings, bills of materials and standard work.
7. Assists internal and external suppliers with processing problems and troubleshoots to find root cause.
8. Oversee fixture design and manufacture.
9. Ensures final process is capable and stable.
10. Evaluates non-confirming parts and provides proper disposition.
11. Leads and participates in Lean Manufacturing improvement events using all available tools and techniques.
12. Implement cost reduction ideas.
13. Ensures safety designed into all processes and implements safety corrective actions required to eliminate safety risks.

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
2. 4+ years of experience in an engineering role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site based.
