CMDB & Asset Lifecyle Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled CMDB & Asset Lifecycle Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs) and overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to retirement.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of configuration data.
2. Define and implement CMDB processes, policies, and procedures to support IT service management and governance.
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain CI (Configuration Item) relationships and dependencies in the CMDB.
4. Implement and maintain automated discovery tools and processes to populate and update the CMDB with accurate configuration data.
5. Perform regular audits and reconciliations of the CMDB to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
6. Develop and maintain asset lifecycle management processes, including procurement, provisioning, maintenance, and retirement.
7. Track and monitor IT assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
8. Provide reporting and analytics on CMDB and asset lifecycle metrics, trends, and KPIs to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize asset utilization, reduce costs, and mitigate risks associated with IT assets.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Years of experience in configuration management, asset management, or related IT roles.
3. Strong proficiency in configuration management concepts, principles, and best practices.
4. Experience with CMDB tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Cherwell).
5. Knowledge of IT asset management (ITAM) processes and lifecycle management methodologies.
6. Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and IT service management (ITSM) processes.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
9. ITIL Foundation certification or related certifications in configuration management or asset management are a plus.
