Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Automation Testing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Chennai, India.

About the Position:

The person should be an experienced ATS Engineer who is aware of the Metro Signalling system and specifically about the Automatic Supervision System used in Metro working. He should have ATS testing experience at field or Lab testing.

Accountabilities:

1. With reference to assigned Traffic Management functional tests for an overall T&C plan for a simple complexity Automation project: Ensure the definition, organization and execution of the functional test activities relevant to a project in alignment with the Commissioning strategy and the commissioning project activities schedule.
2. Contribute to the definition and formulation of Traffic Management functional Tests procedures.
3. Ensure that the delivered test and commissioning documents are available in the required format as per company guidelines and instructions, including Verification according to V&V Plan if applicable.
4. Ensure the on-time issue of the functional tests reports of the performed tests.
5. Ensure the execution of the specific tests required by Automation departments.
6. Ensure the reporting of non-compliances and delays of Testing commissioning activities.
7. Ensure the review of Testing documents to issue the as-built documentation.

Required Skills/ Knowledge: Knowledge of ATS System deployed in Indian Metro systems.

Education qualifications preferred: BE/Btech with min 4 years experience in Metro ATS system.
