Role & Responsibilities
Position: Assistant Director - Regional Lab (ERDA - West)
Employment Type: Fixed Term Employment on ERDA Rolls initially for 03 Years
Location: Vadodara / Rabale (Navi Mumbai)
Objectives of the Position:
To lead the Regional laboratories of ERDA - West as Head of Division and to take forward the regional laboratories as per vision plan (Rabale / Nerul, Satara and Rajahmundry labs and future labs / utility labs at various locations).
Experience Description:
Minimum 15 years of work experience in the field of electrical testing laboratory, research institute, or quality control department in industries.
- Testing and evaluation of electrical products such as transformers, switchgears, motors, solar modules, cables, CT/PTs, energy meters, T&D line conductors, insulators and hardware, electrical insulations (solid & liquid), structural components of T&D lines, CRGO & CRNO laminations as per national & international standards.
- Experience in laboratory quality management system accredited as per ISO 17025:2017.
- Knowledge of ERP / SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and monitor activities of Regional Lab division (ERDA - West).
- Plan and arrange for resources (manpower and capital equipment) as per requirement.
- Implement and maintain quality system in the laboratories as per ISO 17025.
- Develop new areas of business as well as new test facilities as per business development plan.
- Uplift the competence level and develop new competences of personnel.
- Report to top management about future plans, vision, and status updates.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
- Achieve revenue of the Regional laboratory (ERDA West) as per target set every year.
- Achieve customer satisfaction as per goal set.
- Reduce the Turn-Around-Time for delivery.
- Motivate and involve personnel in R&D projects, expert services, and paper publications.
- Improve productivity.
- Meet the requirements of capex & operational expenses.
Technical Competencies/Skills Required:
Technical:
- Knowledge of electrical engineering, particularly power equipment, insulation systems, and materials used in the same (Essential).
- Knowledge of evaluation of equipment as per national & international standards for all electrical parameters including high-voltage, impulse, short-circuits, EMI/EMC, environmental parameters such as IP, Vibration, Shock, etc. (Essential).
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques, error & measurement uncertainty analysis (Essential).
- Knowledge of applications of power sector products such as transformers, switchgears, motors, solar modules, cables, CT/PTs, energy meters, T&D line conductors, insulators and hardware, electrical insulations (solid & liquid), and structural components of T&D lines (Desirable).
- Knowledge of laboratory quality system accredited as per ISO 17025:2017.

Qualification:
Essential: Master in Electrical Engineering
Desirable: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
Experience Range: 20 years and above
Salary Range: 20-29 LPA
