Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

Position Location: VADODARA, GUJARAT, INDIA (On-Site)

Position Budget: 10,00,000 – 13,00,000 PA.

POSITION SUMMARY

FP&A Analyst is responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial statements. The position plays a key role in providing detailed analysis of financial results as well as supporting the FP&A team in the annual and/or periodic budgeting/forecasting exercise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Conduct financial forecasts – both capital and P&L – for annual and long-term planning and forecasts.
  2. Ensure key performance metrics are in place and are effectively managed through reporting/dashboards, business reviews and analysis.
  3. Effectively translate performance metrics into financial targets.
  4. In partnership with the leadership teams, assist in the development of the annual and long-range plan and ensure accurate and timely forecasting.
  5. Ability to source, structure and analyze data for problem solving; utilize databases or other tools as required.
  6. Partner with the Accounting team to review monthly financial results, identifying key trends, variances, and areas of improved performance.
  7. Develop various scenarios through models and interpret financial impact and make recommendations.
  8. Integrate analysis with balance of Finance team to ensure consistent financial view across the organization.
  9. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  1. Graduation (Bachelors’) in Business, Accounting or Finance; Masters’ degree will be an advantage.
  2. 5+ years professional hands-on accounting experience in Financial Reporting, Analysis.
  3. Experience with Microsoft Office, including excellent Excel skills.
  4. Experience with BI (Business Intelligence) tools and/or Management Reporter.
  5. Present data in numerical and graphical formats appropriately for different audiences.
  6. Insatiably curious, VERY detail-oriented and analytical, with excellent strengths in reporting and communicating results.
  7. Strong ability to collaborate with all levels across the organization.
  8. Work under stress with interruptions and deadlines.
  9. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal with problem solving ability.
  10. Supporting & coordinating with on-shore team based out of US offices.

  8. Job requires working in mid or late-shifts and/or on Indian holidays, if required.
  9. There may be occasional night shifts for training/reporting purposes.
