2D Echo Technician - BSc/MSc, Bachelor Degree in Echo Cardiology

Job Title: 2D Echo Technician

Education: Diploma in diagnostic medical sonography or cardiovascular technology.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performing Echocardiograms: Conducting 2D ultrasound tests that create visual images of the heart's chambers, valves, and blood flow. These images help doctors evaluate the size, shape, and function of the heart.
2. Patient Interaction: Preparing patients for the procedure, explaining the process, and ensuring their comfort during the examination.
3. Data Collection: Documenting and recording the ultrasound images and other important data for further analysis by cardiologists or other healthcare providers.
4. Report Typing & Assisting Cardiologist & Radiologist: Assisting in the preparation of reports for cardiologists and radiologists.
5. Quality Control: Ensuring the quality of images is sufficient for accurate diagnosis and troubleshooting any technical issues with the equipment.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Technical Skills: Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and the ability to operate it efficiently.
2. Anatomy & Physiology: Understanding heart anatomy, blood flow, and cardiac function to properly interpret what is seen on the ultrasound.
3. Attention to Detail: Precision in capturing images and recognizing abnormal patterns or signs that could indicate a medical condition.
4. Patient Care: Being compassionate and professional with patients, as the procedure can sometimes be uncomfortable or anxiety-inducing.
