Job Description:

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a major Distribution Company with the recruitment of a Supply Chain & Customs Senior.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Analyse and forecast supply chain data to optimise inventory levels.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to coordinate supply chain activities.
• Implement and maintain systems to track inventory and streamline supply chain processes.
• Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and implement solutions.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Essential Experience:

• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import & export procedures, and trade compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure and on their own initiative.
• Proven ability to prioritise objectives and duties.
• Excellent PC skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, self-directing, and proactive with a good work ethic.
• Problem solving, attention to detail, and flexibility are essential skills.
• The ability to organise, plan, and communicate is essential.

Experience and Qualifications Essential:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Third level relevant qualification - e.g. Diploma in Business and Finance.

Desirable:

• Relevant experience in an FMCG environment would be an advantage.
