Job description

We are looking for a Manager of Revenue Accounting to join our Revenue Accounting organization based out of our Shannon, Ireland office. In this role, you will be reporting to the Sr. Manager of Revenue Operations based out of our Santa Clara, California office. This role will support the Revenue Operation team in the Company’s Revenue Recording and Order to Cash cycles. Additionally, this role will have the opportunity to work with the Technical Revenue Accounting Team and the Revenue FPA team, gaining a full view of the Global Revenue Accounting organization. This opportunity is perfect for someone who can bring experience to the team while also broadening their skill set by participating in all aspects of the revenue accounting cycle.

What You'll Do

  1. Responsible for monthly and quarter-close accounting close and SOX compliance controls and processes, including review of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations, processes and procedures documentation, as applicable.
  2. Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Operations, IT and FP&A in designing and monitoring revenue accounting policies and procedures.
  3. Analyze inventory, open PO Commitments, demand forecasts and other financial and operational data, and provide recommendations to management.
  4. Identify and support continual process improvements for increased efficiency and timely reporting. Interact and support auditors as needed.
  5. Strong understanding and application of ASC 606 standards to serve as an expert on revenue accounting issues and related standard processes and procedures.
  6. This position should demonstrate the ability to work both independently, mentoring and developing others, while also supporting leadership directives.

Qualifications

  1. Strong understanding of ASC 606 standards and revenue recognition experience.
  2. Big Four US GAAP public accounting experience preferred.
  3. 5+ overall years of relevant accounting experience.
  4. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting.
  5. Strong time management and organizational skills. Proactive work ethic and ability to work under pressure with a global organization.
  6. Netsuite experience preferable, Excel power user.

Additional Information

  1. Education, professional certification and work experience:
  2. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or other relevant fields.
  3. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, CISA or other relevant professional certification strongly preferred.
  4. External audit, internal audit, consulting or a mix of experience in publicly listed companies and industry.
  5. Experience working with international technology companies.

Hours and Place of Work

Role based in Shannon with a hybrid work scheme in place.

The salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
