Maintenance Technician (Electrical) - Bakery Production Industry
Cpl are delighted to be partnered with a Heritage Brand in the Irish food industry to help them recruit a skilled Electrical Technician for their Bakery Business in Dublin 12.
Due to continued business growth, they have a requirement to hire an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the team.
This is a full-time employment opportunity with a market leading salary.
This is an on-site role working on a rotating shift pattern 5 over 7 (days and evenings).
You must be eligible for full time employment in Ireland to be considered for this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Set-up, install, maintain, and support packaging and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimum performance.
- Provide day to day engineering services in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Be responsible for the Zone / Line performance and overall maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery.
- Resolve problems quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Provide cost-effective design solutions on a weekly basis for plant and equipment requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up to date maintenance documentation.
- Deliver a high-quality maintenance service to production.
- Ensure maintenance works efficiently, effectively, and safely, in line with the maintenance strategy.
- Plan work activities to improve Line Zone performance in conjunction with the Supervisor/Lead Technician.
- Troubleshoot and repair damaged or poor performing equipment.
- Assist in the compilation and presentation of technical feedback on engineering performance relating to yield output and downtime.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ trade experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician.
- Experience in High Volume Regulated Food Production, BRC Grade, GMP Manufacturing, FMCG, Bottling, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- PLC/Controller experience (programming is an advantage).
- National Craft Senior Trades Electrician or Equivalent Qualification is essential.
