Maintenance Technician (Electrical) - Bakery Production Industry

Cpl are delighted to be partnered with a Heritage Brand in the Irish food industry to help them recruit a skilled Electrical Technician for their Bakery Business in Dublin 12.

Due to continued business growth, they have a requirement to hire an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the team.

This is a full-time employment opportunity with a market leading salary.

This is an on-site role working on a rotating shift pattern 5 over 7 (days and evenings).

You must be eligible for full time employment in Ireland to be considered for this role.

Job Responsibilities

1. Set-up, install, maintain, and support packaging and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimum performance.
2. Provide day to day engineering services in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment.
3. Be responsible for the Zone / Line performance and overall maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery.
4. Resolve problems quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
5. Provide cost-effective design solutions on a weekly basis for plant and equipment requirements.
6. Maintain accurate and up to date maintenance documentation.
7. Deliver a high-quality maintenance service to production.
8. Ensure maintenance works efficiently, effectively, and safely, in line with the maintenance strategy.
9. Plan work activities to improve Line Zone performance in conjunction with the Supervisor/Lead Technician.
10. Troubleshoot and repair damaged or poor performing equipment.
11. Assist in the compilation and presentation of technical feedback on engineering performance relating to yield output and downtime.

Qualifications

1. At least 3 years’ trade experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician.
2. Experience in High Volume Regulated Food Production, BRC Grade, GMP Manufacturing, FMCG, Bottling, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, or related industries.
3. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
6. PLC/Controller experience (programming is an advantage).
7. National Craft Senior Trades Electrician or Equivalent Qualification is essential.
