Role Description

This is a full-time Interior Designer role located in Dublin at IWSL.

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces, with expertise in colour schemes, materials, furniture, and layout planning. The Interior Designer will be responsible for tasks such as space planning, architecture, construction drawings, interior design, and FF&E selection. The role involves working on commercial projects, collaborating with clients and contractors to bring design visions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Concept Development: Develop creative interior design concepts based on client requirements.
  • Space Planning: Create functional and aesthetically appealing layouts.
  • Material & Furniture Selection: Choose materials, furniture, lighting, and décor that align with the design vision.
  • 3D Visualizations & Drawings: Prepare sketches, mood boards, 3D models, and technical drawings using design software.
  • Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with design team members, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project execution aligns with design specifications.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Estimate costs and source materials within budget.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to local building codes, safety standards, and sustainability principles.
  • Site Supervision: Oversee installations and provide design guidance on-site.
  • Trends & Innovation: Stay updated on the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience in interior design (preferably in commercial sectors).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion, Photoshop or other design software.
  • Strong understanding of colour theory, textiles, furniture design, and materials.
  • Knowledge of building regulations, sustainability practices, and safety regulations.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent creativity, visual awareness, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • A keen eye for trends and innovative design solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interior Design Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience with project management and budgeting.
  • Background in sustainable design and eco-friendly materials.
