Finance Manager (Payroll Services)

Location: Galway (East side of the city)

Reporting into: Associate Finance Director

Type of contract: This is a permanent role

This role is responsible for delivery of payroll services to 4,000 employees in Ireland, 2,200 are weekly paid and 1,800 are monthly paid.

About Your New Job

1. Lead a team of 4 payroll specialists to ensure efficient and compliant payroll for 4,000 employees.
2. Review & sign-off on payroll in line with company policy & best practices.
3. Partner with the payroll software provider to ensure optimum use of software.
4. Compliance – Ensure payroll processes meet all local regulations & corporate policies.
5. Payroll analytics – Develop a suite of metrics to monitor the efficiency of the payroll process.
6. Lead, engage & develop team members.

What Skills/Experience You Need

1. NFQ (National Framework of Qualifications) Level 8 degree.
2. In depth knowledge of Irish employment tax – ideally supported with a recognised qualification from ITI, IPASS or similar.
3. Experience running payroll services for similar scale company with passion for customer service.
4. Proven ability to work & communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
5. Proven track record of leading & developing teams.
6. Proven track record of identifying & implementing process improvements.
