Heavy Equipment Operator

We are currently in need of a Heavy Machine Operator on a full-time permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery such as excavators, loading shovels, forklifts, and compactors.
• Sort and grade incoming waste materials to maximize recovery and minimize landfill.
• Safely remove and dispose of non-compliant materials.
• Perform general yard duties, including housekeeping and operation of yard-specific equipment.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and maintain a professional attitude toward colleagues and customers.
• Undertake additional duties as required by the Site Manager.

The Ideal Candidate:

• At least 1-2 years in waste management, transport, or a related industry.
• Valid 360 machine operator license (essential); forklift license and experience operating loaders (desirable).
• Manual Handling and Safe Pass certification (advantageous).
• Proficient in English with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to adapt to different tasks and areas within the business as required.
• Must have the legal right to work in Ireland.
