Our client is an award-winning international engineering and project-management consultancy, currently undergoing rapid growth.

The candidate will assist in the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for Irish Water and other clients.

1. Assist with the design and delivery of water and wastewater schemes.
2. Work on various project stages - feasibility to detailed design, contract document preparation, and construction administration.
3. Ensure knowledge and understanding of project deliverables.
4. Report to and communicate with the Project Manager.
5. Support the Project Manager in the management and monitoring of project delivery and work within defined budget and programme requirements.
6. Preparation of designs.
7. Preparation of technical specifications and contract documents.

Requirements

1. Educated to degree level (level 8/9 engineering degree).
2. Minimum 3 years’ of postgraduate experience, primarily in a consultancy environment.
3. Experience in the design and delivery of water/wastewater schemes.
4. Knowledge of different contract types (FIDIC, NEC, Public Works, Irish Water).
5. Knowledge of safety and health regulations.
6. Demonstrable ability to work as a member of a team reporting to senior staff.
7. Ability to work within a team environment and under own initiative to achieve project goals.
8. Ability to communicate effectively.
9. Member of, or eligible to join, Engineers Ireland.
10. Attention to detail and ability to comply with Quality Assurance Management Systems is essential.
11. Enthusiastic, hardworking, and flexible.
12. Chartered Engineer, desirable.
