VP | Senior Manager of HR Strategy - Global Ceramics Manufacturing

With five manufacturing facilities in Banten, East Java, and South Sumatra, and an annual production capacity of 69 million square meters, the company is committed to supporting Indonesia’s infrastructure and economic growth. They are now entering a new phase of strategic HR transformation to support this momentum—and you could lead it.

Position Overview

The Vice President of HR Strategy will act as a strategic business partner, reporting directly to the COO, and will be responsible for aligning the company’s human capital strategy with long-term business goals. You will lead workforce planning, organizational development, HR transformation, and leadership pipeline development to drive scalable and sustainable success across all business units.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategic HR plans aligned with business priorities, operational needs, and cultural transformation.
  2. Lead organizational development programs, including leadership training, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives.
  3. Redesign the HR operating model for greater agility, standardization, and service efficiency.
  4. Establish and track HR metrics, SOPs, and KPIs across all HR functions, integrating systems that support informed decision-making.
  5. Create and drive a future-focused talent acquisition strategy, including Employer Value Proposition (EVP) development and employer branding.
  6. Lead change management initiatives to support ongoing business transformation and expansion.
  7. Provide counsel to executive leadership on organizational design, workforce structure, and strategic people management.
  8. Enable a data-driven HR function by implementing analytics and dashboards that track performance and identify trends.
  9. Build and manage relationships with external consultants, HR tech providers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and modernization.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Key Internal Stakeholders: CEO, Plant Managers, Finance, Legal, VP-level Executives

External Stakeholders: Government regulators, consulting firms, and HR technology partners

Challenges of the Role

  1. Aligning long-term workforce strategy with evolving business goals in the manufacturing space
  2. Leading large-scale HR transformation while maintaining daily operational efficiency
  3. Navigating regulatory complexity and compliance requirements
  4. Strengthening leadership capabilities in a technical, multi-location environment

Authorities

  1. Approve enterprise-level HR policies and transformation initiatives
  2. Recommend investment in HR technologies and digital platforms
  3. Advise on executive-level decisions related to workforce structure and succession
  4. Lead discussions around strategic organizational design and performance

Job Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Administration

Experience: At least 10 years in strategic HR leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors
