Underwriting Assistant Manager

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Human Medicine, Finance, or a related field
2. Minimum of 5 years in underwriting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa
4. Associate Life Management Insurance certificate holder, LOMA
5. Certificate of Life Insurance holder, AAMAI
6. Basic and Intermediate Underwriting Training
7. Completed COMET training modules by GENRE

Job Description:

1. Ensure that the risk selection process is conducted properly within the authority limit of the Underwriting team.
2. Determine the risk classification for every insurance applicant as desired risk, substandard risk, or decline.
3. Check the new business production report daily and monthly before sending it to the Marketing department and Management to manage and monitor the company’s business.
4. Ensure that every underwriting process works well according to the procedures, within the Service Level Agreement, and supports the business growth of the company by providing underwriting decisions with the best outcomes, including updating SOPs if needed.
5. Negotiate with the Reinsurance company for facultative cases for fair decisions, and share ideas with Reinsurance to support the Underwriting decision.
6. Collaborate with third parties (Lab and Hospital partners) to provide medical facilities for clients who need medical check-ups.
7. Maintain Underwriting guidelines updated with recent issues related to the Underwriting field.
8. Collaborate with Marketing Supports and other units related to Underwriting work, providing service excellence to our customers.
