Global responsibilities are addressed by International Taxes and Indirect Taxes, whereas regional responsibilities are organized by area, led by Regional Heads. We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Jakarta, Indonesia.
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tax Manager to oversee all tax-related functions within our organization. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, managing tax audits, providing strategic tax advice, and optimizing the integration of tax and accounting systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
Your tasks:
- Tax Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure the company complies with all local and international tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and other applicable taxes.
- Prepare, review, and file accurate and timely tax returns and other statutory filings.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
- Tax Dispute
- Collect, organize, and prepare relevant documentation (invoices, contracts, tax filings) to support the company’s position during disputes.
- Perform account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- Represent the company in discussions and meetings with tax authorities, presenting evidence and negotiating resolutions effectively.
- Tax Advisory
- Provide proactive tax planning and strategic advice to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess tax implications for business operations, contracts, and projects.
- Advise management on potential tax-saving opportunities, incentives, and exemptions available under applicable laws.
- Support the finance team in understanding and managing tax risks and implications for business decisions.
- Tax and Accounting Systems
- Oversee the integration of tax-related functionalities into the accounting systems and ERP platforms.
- Work with IT and finance teams to automate tax calculations, filings, and reporting processes.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all tax-related system processes.
- Others
- Participate in the preparation of Transfer Pricing Documentation.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of new tax regulations and legislation.
- Inform and update finance colleagues on relevant changes and amendments to tax laws.
- Collaborate with external service providers, including tax consultancy firms, on tax and compliance matters.
- Contribute to improving tax processes and guidelines to minimize the effective tax rate and optimize the overall tax structure.
- Management Responsibility
- Supervise and mentor junior administrative staff members, ensuring efficient task delegation, performance monitoring, and professional development.
- Provide guidance on tax-related processes and compliance, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Your profile:
Education Level:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation (Fiscal Administration).
- Having USKP is a plus point.
Experience Level:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of combined experience in Tax Consulting Firm and Industry/Corporation.
