The Supplier Quality Engineer role at Caterpillar Indonesia in Batam is an exceptional opportunity for professionals passionate about driving quality and innovation in a dynamic manufacturing environment. What You Will Do:

• Provides conclusions and recommendations for quality issues and/or continuous quality improvement projects.
• Participates in supplier quality improvement initiatives; works with suppliers to develop and improve quality levels.
• Ensures the reliability and quality of suppliers, implementing process controls, certification programs, evaluations, inspections, corrective actions, audits and records.
• Identifies quality problem(s) and determines a short-term action plan with the facility management and the supplier.
• Interacts with manufacturing team members to determine root cause of quality issues and ensure that corrective and preventive action is implemented.
• Collects non-conformance data and maintains and updates quality system documents.

What Skills You Have:

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA).
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques.
• Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy.

What Will Set You Apart:

• At least three years of experience in quality management, with a focus on supplier quality.
• A bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Engineering or Purchasing.
• Familiarity with Lean concepts.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):

• This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
