Job description
Oversee the preparation, production, and presentation of gelato and other pastry items, ensuring consistency in texture, flavor, and quality
Lead the research and development (R&D) of new gelato flavors, seasonal offerings, and creative dessert pairings
Train and develop the pastry team, providing guidance on gelato-making techniques, storage, and handling to maintain quality
Ensure strict adherence to standard recipes and production procedures for gelato to maintain uniformity across all batches
Manage inventory and order gelato-specific ingredients, ensuring proper stock levels, and monitor gelato production equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic production area in compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to support promotional events, catering requests, and new menu launches featuring gelato
What we're looking for
Minimum 3-5 years experience in pastry, especially in gelato or ice cream production, with leadership experience preferred.
Strong background and knowledge of gelato-making techniques
Excellent kitchen and time management as well as organizational skills
Ability to develop new gelato flavors and dessert pairings to keep offerings innovative.
Strong understanding of HACCP, hygiene standards, and inventory management.
Capable of training and leading a pastry team with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen while ensuring consistency.
