Job description
  • Oversee the preparation, production, and presentation of gelato and other pastry items, ensuring consistency in texture, flavor, and quality
  • Lead the research and development (R&D) of new gelato flavors, seasonal offerings, and creative dessert pairings
  • Train and develop the pastry team, providing guidance on gelato-making techniques, storage, and handling to maintain quality
  • Ensure strict adherence to standard recipes and production procedures for gelato to maintain uniformity across all batches
  • Manage inventory and order gelato-specific ingredients, ensuring proper stock levels, and monitor gelato production equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic production area in compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
  • Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to support promotional events, catering requests, and new menu launches featuring gelato

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in pastry, especially in gelato or ice cream production, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong background and knowledge of gelato-making techniques
  • Excellent kitchen and time management as well as organizational skills
  • Ability to develop new gelato flavors and dessert pairings to keep offerings innovative.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, hygiene standards, and inventory management.
  • Capable of training and leading a pastry team with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen while ensuring consistency.
