Job Description
As an Oracle Engineer, you will be responsible for building customizations, extensions, modifications, localizations, or integrations to the existing product, develop reports using the developer tools to cater to business-specific reporting needs in Oracle EBS and also expected to have capability as DBA to maintain and improve the database infrastructure.
Oracle Engineer is expected to work closely with the Functional team to understand the requirements and then undertake technical design and produce software component designs and specifications as per the functional design. Once the software components are developed then he needs to test the components viz. reports, workflow, interfaces, customizations, data migration scripts, etc. He is also required to carry out audits and participate in technical walkthroughs. The successful candidate will encounter challenges related to Oracle information systems, business processes, and technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputable university with good academic results.
- At least 3 years of strong Oracle engineering skills with PLSQL, Java, and Shell Scripting knowledge.
- Extensive experience in Oracle RDBMS with backend development, performance tuning, Table Architecture, and Normalization.
- Experience in EBS developer suites such as Forms & Report Builder, BI Publisher, SQL Developer, Workflow Builder, and JDeveloper.
- Experience working with Finance and Procurement modules with a minimum of 3 implementation project experience.
- Experience in creating interfaces through standard APIs, Interface tables, and data loading.
- Experience in implementing MD70 and MD120 Documentation for all internal initiatives.
- Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills.
- Experience in version control tools and familiarity with development collaboration tools such as Github.
- Passion for software engineering, application development, or systems development.
- Good business acumen, excellent problem-solving skills, and broad understanding of software and system design.
- Curiosity to explore creative solutions and try new things to solve challenging problems to pull it all together into a user-accepted solution.
- Participation in multiple end-to-end implementations of system integration, data migration, internal business applications, or configuring vendor-provided solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influence skills and personal maturity.
- Experience in maintaining infrastructure in the cloud such as AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Knowledge/Experience in creating interfaces using UTL_HTTP or Integrated SOA Gateway.
- Knowledge of EBS administration (DBA).
- Understanding of Oracle Licensing.
