Senior Tax and Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax and Accounting professional to join our growing team at GASTRO Food and Beverage Consulting. In this full-time role based in Medan, North Sumatra, you will play a crucial part in managing the company's tax and accounting responsibilities, ensuring compliance and driving financial optimization.

What you'll be doing

1. Overseeing all tax planning, compliance and reporting for the company, including the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns.
2. Liaising with regulatory bodies and authorities to ensure timely and accurate tax submissions.
3. Conducting tax research and analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and mitigation of tax liabilities.
4. Managing the company's general accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivables, payroll and financial reporting.
5. Providing strategic financial advice to support business decision making.
6. Supervising and mentoring junior members of the accounting team.
7. Continuously improving accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What we're looking for

1. 8+ years of post-qualification experience in tax and accounting, ideally within the Accounting industry and Taxation sub-industry.
2. Thorough understanding of Indonesian tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
3. Strong technical skills in financial reporting, data analysis and tax planning.
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to effectively liaise with internal and external parties.
5. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team.
6. Proactive problem-solving approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
7. Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
