Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer for Food and Supermarket product testing who has experience in QA engineering, automation engineering, or as a Software Development Engineer in Test, with familiarity in test scripts like Python, Golang, or Java. This role is critical to supporting our growing business, offering the opportunity to work with a creative team and help improve the lives of people across Southeast Asia. You will be reporting to the QA Engineering Manager and will be based onsite in Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

1. Develop Test Plans: Define test plans, specifications, and suites for functional, security, and performance testing.
2. Collaborate with Teams: Work with Product Managers and Developers to understand features and obtain test cases.
3. Debug & Report Issues: Analyze logs, API responses, and debug failed test cases, reporting bugs with detailed information.
4. Automate Testing: Maintain UI and API automation suites, add test cases for new features and regression testing.
5. Enhance Automation Framework: Understand and improve the automation framework, addressing script and data issues.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related fields.
2. 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Automation Engineer, or Software Development Engineer in Test.
3. Proficiency in testing iOS, Android apps, and Backend APIs.
4. Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium), testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, TestNG), and programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Golang, Python).
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand product implementation and analyze logs and API responses at the micro-service level.
6. Experience with Agile methodologies, including weekly sprints and release cycles.
7. Understanding of database concepts and queries (MySQL).
