Position Overview
Sandvik is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Sales Engineer specializing in Mobile Crushing and Screening equipment. The Sales Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication, technical expertise, and sales acumen.
Job Summary
Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Senior Sales Engineer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This position will support Indonesia team for Crushing and Screening business by provides the link between the Product Line, the regional customer, sales team, and their customers. This position focuses on Mobile Crushing and Screening product lines and liaises with industry experts to find solutions.
This position is responsible for identifying plant, equipment and aftermarket sales opportunities within a defined customer region. Where current and new business opportunities exist, the position should take responsibility for the sales development. Promote and sell the organization’s products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage sales of products and services to small and medium sized customers within an assigned geographical territory as well as build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs.
Address customer inquiries promptly and provide technical support on aftermarket services, retain and grow business with existing customers and generate sales from new customers, to anticipate and understand customer needs and match them with our product offering to maximize customer value and sales profit.
Identify and pursue aftermarket sales opportunities such as spare parts, wear parts, and service contracts.
Creates business development plans and targets for the product range in collaboration with the Regional Manager. This will include the introduction of new products and trial to purchase.
Collaborate with service engineers to ensure effective resolution of customer issues.
Develops sales skills and knowledge of the products, services, and customers by working closely with a product specialist to promote products, close orders and resolve problems.
Provides sales support (may include providing leads, assisting on sales calls, making presentations, providing training, providing competitive intelligence, etc.) to the Internal team.
Pursue sales leads; visit existing and new customers who may be of strategic importance to the organization; assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services; respond to more complex customer enquiries; negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
To collect and communicate relevant business and market intelligence to product and sales management by using the applicable systems.
Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met.
Performs other related duties as assigned by superior.
Education, Experience & Competencies
Bachelor's degree in engineering: A degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
Min 5-year experience in technical sales, preferably within the crushing and screening, heavy equipment and/or mining and construction industry.
Proficiency in sales techniques, negotiation, and contract management to drive aftermarket sales and service contracts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information, deliver product presentations, and negotiate with customers.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets, improving customer retention, and driving revenue growth through effective aftermarket services.
Resilient, proactive sales and thriving under pressure, with a strong sense of self-motivation and a passion to win.
Willingness to do a frequent travelling to customer site.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
