JOB SCOPE

Responsible for the bidding process regarding proposals for control & safety systems (DCS, ESD, F&G, BMS, TMC, SCADA, PLC, Digital Platform – Cyber Security & Advisors) including service solutions, process design consulting, or manufacturing services.

Develops the final pricing and technical proposals associated with a bid.

Maintains an open line of communication with customers and sales staff to ensure that customers receive quotations that are both economical and meet the technical requirements of a project.

Prepare minimum compliance, cost-effective proposals and consistently strive to improve the efficiency and accuracy of proposal generation in Control, Safety, PLC, and Advanced Applications.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and interpret technical specifications and customers’ requirements with CSE, TSC, and other team members respectively.

• Collaborate with the Technical Sales Constants (TSC) for solution strategy and client-specific requirements such as bill of material, technical compliance, solution descriptions, assumptions/exclusion, etc.
• Collaborate with the CSE for costing strategy, client-specific Price Summary structure, and Terms and Conditions requirements.
• Interact with Subject Matter Experts and/or the Delivery organization to build the Resale requirements and work with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to request vendor quotations.
• Work closely with the TSC and the pursuit team to ensure all elements of the proposed solution are addressed and documented.
• Based on the results of the Solution Strategy and Design Review, provide the detailed solution costing for management reporting and client submission.
• Render support to Sales and provide follow-up on commercial and technical clarifications.
• Knowledgeable of corporate policy, pursuit processes, and procedures.
• Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may backup the work of other personnel.

Continuous improvements and undertake departmental initiatives or projects to improve work productivity & efficiency.

Actively contribute to knowledge management by capturing and sharing best practices.

Recognize and understand the customer’s needs, deriving out minimal compliance requirements from tender specifications and make suggestions for possible solutions, and quickly develop budgetary numbers. Accuracy in costing & solution with value proposition is a must & essential.

Typical applications are Oil & Gas (Refinery/ Petrochem), MMM (Cement/ Steel), Water & Wastewater (Desalination/ Treatment Plants), Smart Cities, CPG, Life Sciences/ Pharma, Telemetry projects, Material handling.

Major responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Cost analysis and estimating
• Knowledge of Cyber Security & Digital offers.
• Develop value-added propositions and proposal writing.
• Present analysis results and project solutions to technical leads, senior leaders, and customers as necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

Degree in Engineering or related work experience and disciplines. PMP and/or TUV certification will be a decisive advantage.

Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of related experience in Project Management, DCS, F&G, ESD SCADA, and PLC. The successful candidate should have developed technical expertise in unified DCS platform.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a pursuit team to ensure the quality of the proposal meets the client’s specifications.
• Skills in Microsoft Office tools in Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint.
