Senior Occupancy Planner

About the role:

• Oversees complex assets or regions, manages larger business units, and leads special occupancy-related projects such as mergers and acquisitions (M&As).
• May supervise multiple occupancy planners, ensuring effective team performance and project execution.
• Directs the planning and development of new spatial initiatives while managing ongoing projects and programs.
• Works closely with account leadership, service lines, and client representatives to optimize staffing, plan future projects, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepares and delivers reports and presentations on space pipeline, progress, challenges, opportunities, and recommendations, while leading stakeholder meetings.
• Ensures adherence to C&W tools, processes, templates, and customized client standards for consistency and efficiency.
• Identifies root causes, develops solutions, evaluates alternatives, and recommends the best course of action for projects and program operations.
• Partners with IFM, PDS, and client real estate leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and recommends adjustments when misalignments arise.
• Coaches the team on space planning solutions, move management, client and vendor relationships, and effective resource utilization.
• Leads planning proposals, space utilization studies, and project activities (relocations, restacks, renovations, consolidations) while setting clear objectives and timelines for the team.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field such as Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities Management, Project Management, or Construction Management.
• 5-7 years of experience in a corporate real estate environment, demonstrating expertise in space planning and facility management.
• Strong ability to analyze data, derive insights, and make informed recommendations.
• Working knowledge of CAFM software, space management systems, and relational databases.
• Proficient in architectural and engineering drawings, concepts, and design principles.
• Skilled in handling projects of various scopes and complexities, ensuring timely and successful execution.
• Competent in using MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications.
• Excellent ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
• Capable of working autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
