Senior Motor Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Motor Technician. The role will be based in our Opel & Mazda dealership in Bandon.

This role is suitable for an ambitious qualified motor technician who has a desire to further their career in one of Munster’s biggest Motor Groups.

About the Role:

Our Senior Motor Technicians perform the following duties:

1. Diagnose and repair faults & service vehicles as per manufacturer guidelines.
2. Carry out & record electronic vehicle health checks to determine if additional work is required.
3. Keep up to date with latest technological developments in our brands.
4. Complete comprehensive write ups on job cards detailing work carried out.
5. Communicate with the parts department to ensure correct parts are identified and ordered.
6. Communicate with the workshop controller to identify if additional work is required, or if repairs cannot be completed within the agreed timeframe.
7. Save and tag warranty parts as per manufacturer requirements.
8. Meet the efficiency & productivity standards as set by the workshop controller.
9. Work with your colleagues to provide excellent customer service and to share best practice.
10. Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of tools.

What You’ll Need:

1. You will be a qualified Motor Technician with experience on modern vehicle electronics.
2. You will be organised, flexible and prepared to work as part of a team.
3. You will be diligent and work well under pressure.
4. You are required to have a full clean driver’s licence.
5. You will have fluent English.
6. Be able to work to high standards and be highly motivated to learn.
7. You will be professional and maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
