Minimum Bachelor’s degree from Mechanical Engineering
At least eight (8) years in Mechanical Engineering in Oil and Gas Industry.
Hands-on work experience with international codes and standards such as API, ANSI, AWS, NFPA, ASTM, ASME, NACE, TEMA.
Equipment Exposure: Pedestal Crane, Pressure Vessel (PV), Air Cooled Heat Exchanger (ACHE), Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger (STHE), Storage Tank, Pig launcher & Receiver, Heaters, Separation Technology, Nitrogen rack, CO2 Snuffing Package, Chemical Injection Package, API 674 Pump, API 610 Pump, Turbines & Compressors, etc.
Design Experience: Offshore & Onshore Oil & Gas facility
Hands-on experience with PV Elite, HTRI/HTFS, COMPRESS, Tank, etc.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr./Lead Mechanical Engineer in the detailed engineering team reports to the Head of Department (HOD - Mechanical Discipline) functionally and directly to the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) when assigned to a project/proposal.
Manage all engineering work activities, people, and work plan to ensure that all mechanical engineering works meet the engineering quality plan and project schedule.
Prepare/review Data Sheets, Material Requisition for items to be procured, while ensuring that the prepared documents are reviewed by the Project Engineering Manager.
Evaluate Mechanical systems, products, components, and applications by designing to meet Project/Client requirements.
Provide interdisciplinary inputs to Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, and Piping teams for the development of detailed design.
Prepare/review vendor Technical Clarifications (Technical Bid Clarification (TBC)), attend clarification meetings with vendors to ensure compliance of vendor technical offers with project requirements (Spec/Datasheet/MR), and prepare/review the Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).
Participate in providing/reviewing/verifying Mechanical Design Engineering Basis, equipment sizing, and selection.
Provide/review/verify the mechanical equipment location along with designer/drafter.
Review and approve the mechanical detail design, studies, calculations, data sheets, drawings, and other documents prepared by the mechanical engineering team.
Participate in Model reviews and Constructability reviews.
Attend engineering weekly meetings and department review meetings.
Provide technical assistance during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup.
