Job Purpose
This role sits in the Global Lifebuoy BG Marketing team and will primarily focus on driving unmissable brand superiority and long term growth of Lifebuoy in Indonesia and Vietnam. The role of the Senior Global Brand Manager reports to the Global Brand Lead who will be based in Indonesia and will support across product, communications & strategy.
Main Responsibilities
You will be part of the global Lifebuoy Team (BG Marketing) based in Jakarta and will collaborate with teams from key markets such as Indonesia, Vietnam, and India. You will be responsible for holding together the plan by BU (Indonesia and Vietnam) for the brand and category. You will be the main point of contact for all the functions working on projects/engagement plans for this region.
- Lead, inspire, and coach a team of 2 Assistant Brand Managers, all co-located in Jakarta, Indonesia.
- Develop the strategic vision and growth roadmap for Lifebuoy growth in Indonesia and other SEA countries and execute the plans.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust innovation funnel across all platforms for Indonesia and Vietnam.
- Collaborate with agency partners to craft winning communication with best-in-class digital and content strategies.
- Manage Lifebuoy's brand performance, challenges, and opportunities in each of the markets to tailor the activity plan and strategy to win.
- Be accountable for the analysis of the brand's performance in the cluster and competitor intelligence.
Candidate Criteria
Experience & Qualification
- At least 8+ years of experience in the consumer-facing industry across the SEA region (ideally beauty and personal care categories).
- Bachelor's degree in business or communications or any related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of the P&L, having clarity on what drives disproportionate growth and margins for Unilever and our customers.
- Experience in either brand crafting or local market deployment.
- Deep understanding of retail landscape, customer dynamics, media landscape, and how to win in the marketplace.
Skill- Strong in local Indonesian/SEA insights and able to speak/write Indonesian fluently.
- Storytelling ability: You know how to spot issues and frame them compellingly.
