FinanSys are a 25+ year established company selling, implementing and supporting SunSystems accounting software, Oracle NetSuite ERP, SaaS based Business Process Management application, and have launched an exciting and unique new SaaS based software (UniFi) for the finance and accounting function of all businesses.

About This Role:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and work alongside our DevOps Manager to enhance and maintain our AWS-based infrastructure. This role will focus on infrastructure automation, system reliability, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and security, while collaborating closely with our Security Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach and at least 5+ years of DevOps experience, particularly in AWS, automation, and CI/CD. This person will work closely with Development, QA, and Product teams to enhance system stability and streamline deployment processes.

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment efficiency and reliability.
• System Reliability & Monitoring: Implement observability solutions for system performance monitoring, including logging, alerting, and incident response.
• Security & Compliance: Work alongside our Security Engineer to enforce security best practices, ensure compliance, and manage access controls.
• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with Development, QA, and Product teams to provide DevOps expertise and streamline workflows.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize infrastructure and processes.
• Mentorship & Best Practices: Share knowledge with team members and contribute to DevOps best practices within the organization.

Required Skills:

• Fluent in English (written and verbal) for cross-team collaboration.
• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience with a strong background in AWS.
• Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, etc.).
• Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline development (experience with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.).
• Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps, including IAM, vulnerability scanning, and compliance.
• Strong scripting or coding skills in Terraform, Python, Bash, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with serverless architectures.
• Exposure to incident response and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) methodologies.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
• Experience with AI and Machine Learning.

Senior DevOps Engineer (Golang) - Fully REMOTE
